Intercultural Student Engagement
The Office of Intercultural Student Engagement (ISE) promotes a welcoming and inclusive campus environment that supports the leadership development, social experiences, and academic persistence of all students, with an emphasis on those from traditionally under-represented groups on campus. This includes students of color, LGBTQ+ students, international students, and students practicing or exploring spirituality.
ISE works to connect members of the UNE community with the resources they need to best engage in cross-cultural learning and to feel comfortable on our campuses.
Student Clubs and Organizations
Diversity, equity, and inclusion issues are at the heart of many UNE student clubs and organizations. Contact a club representative or view the full list of student groups.

Campus Climate Survey
UNE conducted a Campus Climate Survey with Rankin & Associates and reported the results in the fall of 2020. In collaboration with a range of campus partners, the University Committee on Community, Equity, and Diversity is using data from the survey to further improve UNE’s culture and programs across all dimensions of diversity.
View the results of the survey under “Campus Climate Assessment Results.”
